Kenya to Receive Rare Mountain Bongos from Europe in Conservation Boost

Kenya is set to receive four male mountain bongos from European zoos in a landmark conservation effort led by Chester Zoo, KWS, and global partners. The move aims to revive one of Africa’s most endangered antelope species, whose wild population has dropped to just 66 individuals, through strategic breeding, rewilding, and AI-powered monitoring.
