Green Fertiliser Factory Eyes Carbon Credits for Kenya Climate Goals
Kenya’s bid to lead Africa’s carbon markets is gaining momentum through a Sh107 billion green fertiliser factory in Naivasha backed by KenGen. Powered by geothermal energy, the project will produce green ammonia while generating high-value carbon credits under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement, positioning Kenya at the crossroads of climate finance and green industrialisation.
