Background
With over 60 years of cumulative experience, Big3Africa unites journalists and producers from diverse backgrounds under three foundational pillars: Climate, Conservation and Community. Our collective journey began with a deep-seated recognition of the urgent need for impactful environmental conservation narratives in Kenya. Rooted in the ethos of going “BEYOND THE HEADLINES,” Big3Africa is dedicated to catalyzing change through its commitment to these core pillars.
Climate: Big3Africa focuses on addressing the pressing issues of climate change, recognizing it as the defining challenge of our time. We are dedicated to raising awareness, promoting sustainable practices, and advocating for policies that mitigate the effects of climate change across Africa.
Conservation: Actively engaged in conservation efforts, Big3Africa is driven by our firsthand witness to the devastating effects of environmental degradation. We undertake practical activities to protect biodiversity and natural habitats, ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.
Community: We mobilize communities and advocate for environmental issues, recognizing the critical role of local empowerment in tackling climate challenges. Through partnerships and grassroots initiatives, we foster collective action towards environmental sustainability and resilience.
Storytelling with Purpose
Combining investigative journalism, documentary filmmaking, and multimedia reporting, we craft compelling stories that humanize environmental issues—connecting audiences emotionally and intellectually and motivating change.
Solutions-Oriented Partnerships
We don’t stop at telling stories. We actively collaborate with NGOs, governments, researchers, and advocates to transform narratives into tangible solutions, blending storytelling with action.
