Governments meeting in Nairobi have been warned that the world is falling behind on most of its 2030 biodiversity targets, despite growing international commitments to halt nature loss. A new global assessment finds that stronger financing, policies and implementation are urgently needed to protect ecosystems, reverse species decline and deliver on the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
