Kenya Heads into a Wetter Season as Heavy Rains Raise Flood Risk

Kenya is heading into the October–December short-rains season with forecasts of above-average rainfall across much of the country. While the rains could improve water supplies and agricultural conditions, prolonged wet spells may increase the risk of floods, landslides, waterlogging, disease and disruption to transport and livelihoods.
